A DAY AWAY
Last updated: 5 November 2026
A Day Away (the App) is a countdown and day-counting app. This policy explains what the App does with your information — in short: it keeps your data on your device and sends it nowhere, because there is no server to send it to.
The App works fully offline. Everything is stored on your device only, in local app storage. The App:
The only data the App keeps is on your own device: your events, story entries, gift plans, widget snapshots, and settings. This data never leaves your phone.
Contacts are read only after you grant permission, and only when you open Import. Only the single contact you confirm is copied into an event. Contacts are never uploaded, and the App does not import from Facebook or from any online contacts service.
Device calendars are read only after you grant permission, and only when you open Calendar Import. Only the single calendar event you confirm is copied into a countdown. No calendar data is uploaded.
The App does not need the internet to function. If a future version adds optional online features (for example, accounts or sync), this policy will be updated before release.
Because the App collects no data, there are no special considerations for child privacy beyond the above.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new Last updated date.
